Nanodiamond Coated Nozzles for 3D Printing Launches at 3DPC.tech
3D Printing Club, through its website WWW.3DPC.TECH announces the launch of a line of Diamondized™ 3D Printing Nozzles enhanced with nanodiamond and polymer technologies. The nanodiamond and polymer coatings are provided by Nano Materials and Processes, Inc. of Milford, Michigan. The interior of the nozzle is coated with a non-stick polymer to provide a smoother flow of filament and resist clogging. The tip is coated with nanodiamond crystals, the hardest known substance, that is wear resistant to maintain printing accuracy and provide nozzle life that is up to twenty (20) times longer than that of standard brass nozzles.
About the Coated Nozzles
Nano Materials and Processes, Inc. applies its nanodiamond coating processes to materials used in high stress and high-reliability applications. Historically these have been dies, stamps, bearings, and other critical components. Nanodiamonds are an ideal engineering material with the highest hardness available with a MOH=10 versus sapphire MOH=9. Diamondized™ nozzles also show a 38.7% advantage over tungsten nozzles. With the combination of non-stick internal coating and wear resistant tip, the nozzles can run kilograms of the most abrasive PTEG (e.g., carbon fiber PTEG) without failure.

Diamondized™ brass nozzles deliver the lowest cost per kilogram deposited of all available nozzle types with a cost of $0.011 per gram.
Two Year Guarantee
Diamondized™ nozzles are guaranteed for two-years including a minimum of 15 kg of non-filled PLA or 3 kg of 30% carbon PTEG. Nozzles are tested by measuring the extrusion.
The warranty does not cover use of filaments with excessive regrind or contaminants, jamming of filament inside the heat brake, cooking of filament inside of the nozzle, heating the nozzle to greater than 350° Celsius, cleaning with oversize drills, or cleaning at excessive temperature. The recommended cleaning method is to wipe the outside with a soft cloth and the inside with cleaner filament.
